If you are a PhD student and want to reach for the stars and further your academic career, you are welcome to apply for a scholarship in the second call for applications for the Iwanowska Programme. The programme funds visits to the best research centres worldwide. 

The programme gives PhD students the opportunity to complete a part of their doctoral studies in foreign research centres in a country of their choice. Such a visit can last from three to even twelve months. The scholarship can amount to as much as 120 thousand PLN.

Additional funding is provided if the young researcher is accompanied by their spouse and children, and in the case of disabled persons – also by their caregivers.

The first visits can start as early as in the beginning of September 2020.

The scholarship holder’s stay at the host institution can involve:

• completing a part of the studies related to writing the doctoral thesis,
• carrying out research related to writing the doctoral thesis,
• obtaining material for the doctoral thesis or a scientific publication,
• completing a part of the “Implementation Doctorates Programme,”
• holding classes or carrying out other scientific or academic activities related to writing the doctoral thesis.

The deadline for applications is 18 December 2019.
