Our PhD student, Ms Anna Krzyżak, has won second prize in the Polish edition of the Ma thèse en 180 secondes competition, organized by Institut français de Pologne. The announcement of the results can be watched here. Ms. Krzyżak will represent our University in the finals for Central European countries.

The competition started in 2012 and now takes place in nearly 30 countries. It is an opportunity for PhD students to present their scientific work to a wide audience, explaining a complex issue in a simple way. From mathematics to literature, to biology or sociology, all disciplines are welcome here. Participants have 180 seconds for their performance in French and can use only one slide.

Congratulations and fingers crossed for Ms Krzyżak. We certainly encourage other doctoral students to participate in similar competitions, which are also held in other languages.
